A Change in Direction: Report Card

Time for a recap of the July 4 chart...
This one is a pretty mixed bag. From the summary points...
One thing I'm wondering, given the lack of events corresponding to the eighth and ninth houses, is if I still don't have the right timing rule. Ingress charts in mundane astrology only hold for certain specific lengths of time (3, 6, 12 months), and perhaps there's something similar here. The pandemic showed that always having charts in effect for a full year isn't right, but this chart suggests that my subsequent guess -- a number of months equal to the number of nonempty houses -- might not be right either. I'll stick with it for now, but I'll also be looking for potential events that might still correspond to this chart. If the eighth and ninth houses match well to events in the next month, for example, that might be an indication that it should have been a six month chart instead of a five month one.
In terms of grading myself, though, it's still incorrect. Folks reading through this series get to witness my struggles to hash out the principles of this process as I go, and I can't claim to always get it right the first (or second, or third...) time.
This one is a pretty mixed bag. From the summary points...
- A change in direction by the adminstration, which at least partially mollifies the redder regions -- I think this is a miss. The election results may have been "good enough" to appease the opposition, with divided government checking the items they find most objectionable, but I haven't noticed a change in direction by the administration. If anything, they seem to be doubling down, with yet another round of subsidies handed out to student loan debtors.
- The elites back off on their support of salaried professional / woke politics and move somewhat closer toward the median voter -- At least on the business side of things (e.g., Disney, Twitter) this seems to be well underway.
- Spectulatively, a scandal involving Hunter Biden, and the president, for whatever reason, does not intervene to protect him -- No sign of anything new on that front, and also I didn't observe anything else that would seem to correspond to the eighth house either.
- A surprise revelation concerning the courts -- Likewise, the courts were pretty unsurprising. There was a ruling blocking the blanket student loan forgiveness, but the main surprise there was someone having actual standing to sue. Given that even a number of prominent Democrats had admitted it wasn't in the president's power to make such a move, at least until they found themselves right before an election with pretty unfavorable poll numbers, it was hardly a shock that it failed on the merits.
