January Update: An Interlude

This mid-year update has very few houses filled, so it'll be quite brief.

In the eighth house we have Eadhadh reversed, in the ninth house we have Tinne, and that's it. By my hypothesis as to the timing of charts, it will apply for two months (until March 4).
I read Eadhadh as strain and tension, so the reversal is a relaxation. I don't quite remember how I got to that meaning for Eadhadh, but in this case it brings a bit of welcome news in the eighth house. Whereas in July we were attracting calamities, this chart shows us getting a temporary respite from that pressure.
The ninth house rules the judiciary. Tinne is another symbol where I'm not quite sure how I landed on the interpretation I use, but here I read it as a skilled or masterful move. (In other contexts -- say, the second house where we're talking about the economy -- I'd read it as wealth instead.) One way this might happen would be a well-regarded decision, perhaps one that threads the needle on addressing the interests of multiple parties. Another possibility would be remaining above the fray by declining to intervene in a contentious political or cultural war. Conventional wisdom, which I realize just burned me a bit in my July reading, is that Chief Justice Roberts wants to preserve the institutional authority of the court, and keeping it relatively non-partisan is one way of achieving that.
So all in all, only good news for the moment. Unfortunately, this chart is also a short one. To sum up:
* fewer assorted calamities
* some kind of skilled move by the court
In March, we'll see how well that holds up.
